WFP, the UN’s frontline agency for hunger solutions, is the world’s largest humanitarian agency: each year, it gives food to an average of 90 million poor people to meet their nutritional needs, most of them women and children, in at least 80 of the world’s poorest countries.

World Food Programme is striving for a world in which everyone has access at all times to the food they need to lead a full life. WFP fights hunger world-wide via emergency aid, relief and rehabilitation and development projects. One of these sustainable development projects is the School Feeding Programme.

For more than 40 years WFP has provided free school meals to poor children. Click here for more information about this project.
